Everything Changes / Jonathan Tropper
Figured I should read a “adult” novel (meaning not young adult), and this was a great choice. Not sure where I got the recommendation to read this, but I am glad I did.
The characters are realistic, but go through quite the roller-coaster of life changing events. Like true life they make good and bad decisions, with consequences. Liked this enough, I may need to check out other books by this author.
I’ve Got Your Number / Sophie Kinsella
Another amazing book by Sophie Kinsella. I find that I love every book of her’s I read, probably due to the types of characters she writes, and that they are written first person. Due to the great twists and turns, I think this is one of my favorites. Honestly, down to the last chapter, I wasn’t sure how the book was going to turn out!
When I find an author I like as good as this, I wish she had a million books I could read. I guess I will just have to wait patiently for her next book to come out.
p.s.: I haven’t actually read all the Shopoholic books, but I feel like when a character is on their 4th+ book, it may be watered down a little by then.)
p.s.s: She also writes under the nom de plume Madeleine Wickham, which I also enjoy, but are a little more highbrow, and less fun and lighthearted.
Peter & the Starcatchers / Dave Barry & Ridley Pearson
A fun and well written story about how Peter Pan became the Peter Pan we know today. His journey from being an orphan in London, making friends with Molly who is a Starcatcher, getting attacked by pirates, saving the world, and finding Neverland.
It also fills in the backstory of why he never ages and the creation of Tinker Bell.
Looking forward to reading the other books in the series.
